FDO – what is it and why is it needed?

FDO
Fiscal Data Operator (FDO) is a service that ensures the transmission of data from cash registers to tax authorities in real time. According to the legislation of Kazakhstan, businesses are required to connect to an FDO if they use cash registers with data recording and transmission functions (DRTF).
How does the FDO work?
When a product or service is sold, the cash register generates a receipt.
Transaction data is transmitted to the FDO via the internet.
The FDO processes and transmits the information to the tax authorities.
The customer can verify the receipt via QR code or a special service.
